Life Skill Program

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines life skills as: "Life skills are abilities that help us to adapt and behave positively so that we can deal effectively with the challenges of everyday life."

The ten core Life Skills as laid down by WHO are: Self-awareness, Empathy, Critical thinking, Creative thinking, Decision making, Problem Solving, Effective communication, Interpersonal relationship, Coping with stress, and Coping with emotion. TPIS strives to prepare its students for the distinct and upcoming challenges of the 21st century. Therefore, we believe in imparting skills that always stay with them and assist them in making difficult decisions and solving more challenging choices in their lives. Teachers, community agencies, and professionals facilitate the development of these skills using different methods like class discussions, brainstorming, demonstration and guided practice, role plays, audio and visual activities, arts, music, theatre, and dance.

“A sound mind resides in a sound body”. We at Prodigies pay equal emphasis on the physical development of our students and their cognitive development. We wish our students to be physically active and fit to have a clearer thought process, more profound insights into one’s mental capabilities, and more self-confidence. Therefore, we provide karate training, with a dual motive of improving their fitness level and teaching them self-defense skills. Swimming classes are also provided to increase immunity, muscle strength, and body flexibility. Students can practice Yoga to increase their metabolism improve body posture and at the same time, create mental clarity and calmness to enhance their core life skills.

At The Prodigies International School, we emphasize the development of the following skills for our students:

We uphold these values at the highest level, and the teachers and staff use various methods like activities and co curricula to help imbibe these values in the students.
